As part of the 2018 Citywide Preservation Project, the City will begin “slurry seals” beginning July 30th and 31st.
Public Works crews have already begun trimming vegetation and filling cracks in preparation. Slurry seal is a type of treatment applied to urban area roads to extend the pavement life. Oil and crushed rock are mixed and applied to the road. This work requires a one-day road closure to allow for cure time before reopening. All residents who live on streets scheduled for treatment were notified by mail, door hangers will also be placed one to two days in advance before work begins on their street. Please call City of Camas Public Works Operations with any questions at (360) 817-1563 and press option 3.
To view all of the locations receiving treatment this summer select the following: slurry street schedule July 30, July 31 and map.
Note: Payne Street between Camas Meadows Drive and Lake Road will also be getting slurry treatment.
