New utility rates took effect January 16th, 2012. You can view the pending rate changes in the following sections of the Camas Municipal Code (all rates are listed as monthly charges):
- Water Rates & Charges 13.36.010
- Sewer Service Charges 13.64.010
- Garbage Schedule of Charges 13.84.010
- Stormwater Unit Rate 13.89.040
Department Mission
The Finance Department’s mission is to ensure the City’s financial stability; maximize the use of its financial resources; and provide superior financial, accounting, treasury, and budgeting information and services, while maintaining the highest level of public trust.
The Finance Department strives to provide progressive, automated, quality services to the citizens, City Council and Mayor, and the many City departments it serves using the most advanced technology available and affordable.
Departmental Goals
- Continue verifying and updating the cemetery records database.
- Participate on the City team to find long term solutions to improve the financial condition of the General Fund, Cemetery Fund and the EMS Fund.
- Analyze collection and accounting of ambulance billings.
- Prepare Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) after taking one year off after 23 years of receiving awards in excellence in financial reporting.
