Safety and Public Education

The Department provides a variety of safety and public education programs including: Fire Station visits/tours for kids.  The department's September Open House event has taken place annually at Station 42 since the station's “Grand Opening” in 2001. Department personnel visit classrooms at local schools with a fire prevention message each October during National Fire Prevention Week. You will often find firefighter's at Camas and Washougal city events, Heritage Days, the Camas Days parade and Boo Bash to name a few.  In addition the bay doors are often open at Station 41 during Camas Farmer's Market on Wednesdays.

Smoke Detectors

The fire department will offer assistance with placement of detectors in the home, please call 360-834-2262 x1.
